An Education in
Craftsmanship

North Bennet St. School

North Bennet St. School is a place for craftsmen of all kinds. Located in Boston’s North End, it is a school rooted in tradition. From carpenters and violin-makers to bookbinders, locksmiths and furniture makers, this institution’s 125-year history was fading. In need of a new brand strategy, visual identity system, and capital campaign, we unearthed the traditions that have kept this craftsmanship alive today.

The new NBSS brand was brought to life through a newly crafted logotype and seal, a modern and vibrant color palette, symbols and patterns, as well as art directed photography to convey the concept of Hands & Mind

With an ambitious timeline to move the whole school to a new location, a successful set of capital campaign materials were designed to re-imagine the modern craftsman and the school’s impact on the world today.
